What is SLICES

SLICES is the future European-wide research infrastructure to support research and innovation with information and communication technologies, future networks, and digital transformation.

Our mission The SLICES Forum aims at organising and engaging the international community around the users of digital science research infrastructures, while facilitating the synergies between the partners for providing the infrastructure to a larger audience.

Who we are

The SLICES Forum is managed by IoT Lab, a non-profit organization born from the European research programme to support collaborative research. IoT Lab is in charge of the communication, dissemination, standardization, and data management for SLICES. It is also supporting the coordination of the Swiss cluster of SLICES that gathers several academic and research organizations.

IoT Lab aims at:

• Promoting international cooperation in the research domain;
• Supporting and taking part in collaborative research and development activities;
• Developing and maintaining a shared research and testbed infrastructure, including the IoT Lab platform of Testbed as a Service;
• Supporting transfer and exploitation of research results to standardisation, sustainable development, and market adoption;
• Promoting the use of the resources and expertise of its members.

It provides a bridge between the research community and the industry. It is headquartered at the Biotech Campus in Geneva, next to the international organizations and global standards development organizations such as the ITU, ISO and IEC.
